Doctor of Philosophy, visual-performance artist, director and researcher in the field of Media Philosophy in relation to Psychoanalysis

Ioannis Mitrou is a Doctor of Philosophy, visual-performance artist, director and researcher in the field of Media Philosophy in relation to Psychoanalysis.  He has taught for the last five years at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Visual and Applied Arts and teaches in the interdisciplinary postgraduate Programme "Art and the Public Sphere". Studies (briefly) : 1996, Bachelor of Science, Aristotle University, Department of Physics / 1996-97, Postgraduate course in theoretical physics on Chaos, Department of Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki / 1997- 99, Fellowship for original scientific research, Institute of Nuclear Fusion in Orsay, Paris-Sud / 2005, Master's degree in Systematic Philosophy, Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki / 2010-2013, Teaching Psychoanalysis, School of the Freudian Cause, Freudian Society of Northern Greece / 2014-2017, Supervised training as a psychoanalyst / 2017, PhD: "Phenomenology of the unconscious : The example of the Lacanian field", in collaboration between the Department of Philosophy and Pedagogy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Department of Psychoanalysis, Paris VIII. Research experience : 1997- 99, work on the relationship between Art and Science in the framework of the fellowship from the Institute of Nuclear Fusion, Paris-Sud / 2003:Founding of the International Laboratory for Research in the Performing Arts-Alma Kalma, which he directs until now. Artistic and scientific collaborations : 2013, Laboratory of Philosophical Research on the Imaginary, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in collaboration with the Centre de Recherche sur l'Imaginaire, STENDHAL-GRENOBLE University III.
